Special Education Record Destruction Notice

Destruction of Temporary Records Notice:

Harvard Public Schools is required by state and federal law (603 CMR 23.06) to maintain Special Education records for seven years after a student’s Special Education services have ended. Records for those whose services ended with the 2018-2019 school year will be destroyed in accordance with state law on September 3, 2026.

If you or your student wish to obtain these records, please contact the Pupil Services office at 978-456-4143 ext. 3103 with proof of identity prior to September 3, 2026. Any unrequested records will be destroyed after this date.
