Welcome to the Harvard Public Schools’ Special Education Services website. While advocating for all children, our particular focus is on the individual child who is diagnosed with a disability that impacts his/her ability to access the general curriculum along with their peers. For that child, we provide a range of special education services in accordance with both state and federal regulations. While a variety of options are available, our clear goal is the inclusion of all children with disabilities in the general education classroom in their own school. The Special Education Services staff is comprised of highly qualified and certified professionals supported by a cadre of paraeducators. This team strives to ensure that not only is no child in Harvard left behind, but that all children in our schools are challenged to make progress along with their peers. Toward that end, the staff welcomes parents as partners in the educational process, sharing both the responsibility and advocacy that is necessary so that each child is able to fulfill their potential.
