- Thursday, September 23rd, 6:30 pm: Parents of Seniors, please join us for the Nuts & Bolts of College Admissions on ZOOM {We will provide the Zoom link for this meeting on Wednesday 9/22} This presentation is designed for parents of seniors to understand how the school counseling office can assist students through the college application process. - MEFA Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority® is a fabulous resource for financial aid questions. Pre-COVID, MEFA would come to Bromfield in the fall and offer an in-house presentation. However, they shifted their presentations to live webinars last fall due to the pandemic and they are continuing with those this year. They have amazing resources on their website. Please see below for two webinars you may find interesting!

- October 1st: Parent Brag Sheet
Every year we give parents/guardians the opportunity to submit a “Parent Brag Sheet” which we use with our letters of recommendation. It is a great way for you to brag about your child, and share some anecdotes or insights they may not think to tell us themselves! We are asking that the brag sheets are completed by October 1st. It can also be found on the homepage of our counseling website. If you need more time to complete it, please let us know.

Info for Seniors: Post Secondary Planning (PSP) Seminars
Mrs Lamere and Mr. Skrocki are excited to be continuing with the Post-Secondary Planning (PSP) Seminar this fall! The curriculum will be covered over the course of 5 different class times.
The purpose of this seminar is to guide you through the post-secondary planning process and provide structured time for you to work on college applications, related materials, and planning for life post-Bromfield. A major component of applying to college is making sure that the various sections of the application (which are sent separately) all arrive at the college on time. This is a detail-oriented process that we will help you coordinate and work on during class. We know that fall is a busy time of year for you all! We hope this time will help alleviate some stress.
We will be seeing all seniors during their wellness/PE classes. However, if your wellness/PE class does not meet until the second semester, we have coordinated the presentations with those students’ study halls. The first PSP rotation date will be coming soon, we will send an email once all dates are confirmed with PE, Wellness and Study hall teachers!
All PSP Seminar classes will be taught in the library. Please be sure to bring your laptops with you!
