Harvard, with approximately 5710 residents (including 208 Devens residents) and 1900 dwellings, is located 30 miles west of Boston in the
northeastern corner of Worcester County, and encompasses an area of 26 square miles.
The town is very accessible to Boston, to Worcester, and to the state's high technology industrial centers.
The working adults are employed in a wide range of occupations that, for the most part,
consist of managerial and professional occupations. The correspondingly high level of educational
attainment has resulted in a community that values education and has high academic aspirations for
its children.
School Information The Bromfield School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It has an enrollment of approximately 706 students, grades 6-12. The Senior Class enrollment is 99 students. There are 54 teachers providing a 13.07 student/faculty ratio. Curriculum An interdisciplinary academic program is prepared for each pupil in grades 9-12. High school students may elect up to 7 courses each year from 100 different offerings. Twenty-two credits are required for graduation from The Bromfield School.
