Students in Wind Ensemble will rehearse and perform wind ensemble/concert band music of various styles. This group is intended for students in grades 9-12, but may be open to middle school students with the permission of the instructor. Rehearsals may be scheduled before and after school. Participation in the Fall, Holiday, and Spring Concerts is required of all members. Members of the Wind Ensemble have the opportunity to audition for the Central Massachusetts Senior District Festival, the New England Music Festival, and the Massachusetts All-State Festival.

Students in the Jazz Performing Ensemble will study various Jazz and Rock styles including Dixieland Swing, Bebop, Funk, Gospel, Rhythm and Blues and others. In addition to performance, students in this class will study Jazz History, Theory and Improvisation. The group will meet on Monday evenings from 5:00-6:15 PM. Membership and placement in the group are at the discretion of the instructor.

Participation in all performances is required. Members of the Jazz Ensemble have the opportunity to audition for the Central Massachusetts Senior District Music Festival and the Massachusetts All-State Music Festival.

Open to those people who play, Violin, Viola, Violincello, and String Bass, students in the String Orchestra will rehearse and perform string orchestra from several different artistic periods and cultures. This group is open to students in grades 9-12. Rehearsals may be scheduled before and after school. Participation in Fall, Holiday, and Spring Concerts is required of all members. Members of the String Orchestra have the opportunity to audition for the Central Massachusetts Senior District Music Festival, the New England Music Festival, and the Massachusetts All-State Music Festival.
